The accommodation is in the heart of the pretty village of Couches, Burgundy, in the Côtes du Couchois vineyards adjacent to the world-renowned Côte d’Or wine region, centred on the splendid city of Beaune. As well as superlative wines, Burgundy is also noted for its fine foods – cheese and Charolais beef.

Couches has five restaurants within easy walking distance of the gallery. The surrounding countryside is lush hillsides of woodland and vines, which many tourists visit for walking holidays. Couches also has its own 12th century chateau.

Visitors with cars can enjoy the many famous wine-producing villages of the area, visit cultural towns and browse the produce in local markets.

The nearest train station is le Creusot TGV (just 1 hour 15 minutes from Paris Gare de Lyon), 25 minutes from Couches.

Elaine would be happy to meet guests, if required, round trip £40.
